GoogleFit with a Wearable

Modified on Tue, 17 Jan 2023 at 10:54 AM

1. Make sure your wearable’s app is connected to the Google Fit app.

In order for HUMANOO to receive your health data, it must all be collected in the Google Fit app. Please check the instructions from Google and from the manufacturer of your wearable to learn how to connect your wearable’s app to Google Fit.

2. Open Google Fit regularly to check and synchronize your data

Google Fit continuously receives data from both your wearable and your smartphone. It then uses a clever algorithm to combine the data together. The data that comes to HUMANOO is the data that you see in Google Fit, which might differ significantly from what you see on your wearable itself.

3.Keep your phone and wearable charged to ensure data transfer

HUMANOO is always trying to collect data from Google Fit in the background, however, sometimes the data is not transferred from Google Fit because of factors such as low battery and poor internet connection.

4.Have patience, the data is not shown in real time

HUMANOO gets regular automatic updates from Google Fit several times per day. However, your data in HUMANOO will not be shown in real time. But don't worry, in time all of your data will be updated.

5.For a more reliable data syncing experience, consider a switch

If you are having trouble with Google Fit, our Developers at Humanoo recommend switching to one of the wearables to which Humanoo offers a direct and more stable connection, such as  Fitbit, Garmin, Withings, etc.
